Just writing to update you on what's going on. Our lease is up on our apartment on May 31st and we decided not to sign a new lease because the price was going up to $950 a month (we're at $895 now) for our 2 bedroom apartment. So I've been house hunting, and just when I was about to give up hope, one of Sean's army buddies mentioned that he was renting out his house while he was gone. Prayers do work. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with both the front and back yards fenced in (Malachi will have a place to run). They're renting it to us for $800 a month and we don't have to put down a security deposit, or pay first and last month. So we're moving on May 22nd. I'm flying my Mom here to help and then we'll drive back to Idaho after we're done moving. I've already started packing.
I was also able to go to the eye doctor today and get a new prescription with our Army medical insurance (Tricare). I've had broken glasses for almost a year now and about a week ago Mal mutilated them beyond recognition...though I was able to super glue most of the parts back together so I can see. I also bought some new frames at the Walmart glasses store today. So I should have new glasses in about a week. Yay!!
Malachi is getting into mischief as usual. He just got another tooth..his two year molars. He's very much into climbing all the furniture right now and has a fort made in the corner of the room between the couch and the loveseat. He also got the fright of his life a couple days ago when he climbed on top of the tv and fell off. The dvd player fell on top of him and his leg was stuck in between the tv and the fireplace with his head dangling close to the floor. I'm happy to report he's ok and he hasn't done it since. We will be starting to go to Dr.'s appointments for Mal soon. I'm excited since has hasn't been to the Dr. since he was 2 months old.
We've been really blessed with Sean deploying. We miss him, but we're going to be able to save up money to buy a house and pay off our debts.
