Little Sacrifices of a Mom

As a Mom I have noticed a few things I don't mind going without or having less of. I realize now that some of those things are things that my own mother went without so that we as her 6 children could have more of. I realize a lot of these are food related, but I just ate lunch. I'm sure you'll recognize things that you do as a Mom or maybe you can add some as a comment.
1. I don't mind eating the crumbs at the bottom of the chip bag
2. I don't mind eating melted ice cream when you're done with what I gave you.
3. I don't mind wearing the same sneakers until the ones I have get a hole in them and they are unwearable. (My mom would wear hers until the bottoms were falling off and there were several holes)
4. I don't mind eating the last pancake that's deformed and no one else wants.
5. I don't mind giving you half or more than half of my dinner if you're still hungry.
6. I don't mind only having one pair of good pants so that you're able to have clothes even when you're constantly growing out of them.
7. I don't mind picking up your friends or taking you to the park.
8. I don't mind singing to you at night until you fall asleep.
9. I don't mind when you're following me and bump into me or when you run ahead of me cause you're so excited
10. And I don't mind kissing you when you've got food on your face or you're drooling cause you have teeth coming in.
I very much love the smile on your face when you're happy and watching you while you're sleeping.
I guess as your Mom I love you and I want what's best for you. I would give up my car if you needed it for a date, but hopefully that won't be for a few more years. I would give you my last dollar if you needed it even if I thought it was silly. I would give you a kidney or part of my liver if you needed them. You are my life and I love every second of it spent with you. Thank you for choosing me to be your Mom.

Beautiful reflections. You should keep that in a journal or baby book. Things sure do change when you become a mom!
