It was also Sean's 25th birthday on Sunday. He said to tell you hello and that he's doing well.
Someone stole my camera with all my 900 pictures on it. I'm sad about them, but I guess they needed it more than I did. I hope they look at the pictures and enjoy them. As soon as I get a new camera I'll post some pictures of Malachi.
Malachi and I have been quite busy lately. I'm getting my tonsils out on the 17th. Kathleen/Mom is coming to stay with me for a week to take care of Malachi while I recover. Then Malachi and I are flying to Illinois on the 29th so Malachi can go trick or treating with his cousins and we can be there for his 3rd birthday. The 29th is also Sean's Moms birthday. We're so excited to be able to see her again.
I've been trying to clean and get everything in order before my surgery cause I know I won't feel like doing it afterward. I'm almost finished with the afghan I'm making for Chuck's son Stephe and his soon to be wife Hillary. Its taken me 2 months to get it finished, but I think it's my best one yet.
Malachi is getting big and is a ball of energy. He's in a size 3T now, and he's 36 lbs and 36 inches. He's solid and very very strong. The other day after we went shopping at costco he helped me carry in some of the cases of food. He was really excited about helping carry in the chocolate milk in juice box size boxes. He ended up dropping it when he got into the gate and just grabbing one and running off, but he tried. He loves his chocolate milk. He's talking a lot more now. He's starting to say numbers and letters and colors. And he LOVES Rocket from Little Einsteins. He says "S" it sounds a lot like the bad word for bum so it's kind of funny when we're out and about and he notices it and says it very loudly. He says "reddy" for red, and "bahlue" for blue. He also loves balloons, but it usually sounds like "loons" when he says it. When he counts he says "one, two, fwee". He's so fun, but a big handful some days.
It's been a real challenge for me to be a single mom while Sean's gone to Afghanistan. I'm sure some days Heavenly father gets tired of hearing from me. I know he doesn't, but I know I could never have his kind of patience. I ask him daily to give me patience to deal with Malachi.
It's getting cooler here. It's in the 60s at night. I've been enjoying it, but Malachi caught a cold poor guy. I've been looking off and on at houses since the market is so low here right now. I really hope we're able to buy a house when Sean gets back.
Wishing all of you a wonderful week. Hope to get some comments from anyone who reads this.

That's so cute when kids start talking more. I love it.
Sending sympathies for doing the parent thing on your own. It's not easy! Glad Sean is doing well.
