Slimfast and weightloss

BTW I just wanted to post Happy Birthday to my sister Amelia. She turned 19 today. Congratulations on going to college and being disciplined to save your money to go. That's totally awesome!! We love you.


I started slimfast two weeks ago today. I've lost 10lbs mostly water weight, but I'm glad I had such a good start. I've been eating smaller portions and sometimes I just get grossed out by the sight of food. My starting weight was 304lbs. I would like to get down to 225lbs. When I get the munchies I eat a slimfast bar and I don't feel hungry anymore. I've had more energy and have been able to do a lot more things with Malachi. Along with that I have had a really really hard time not eating out every day. But I'm doing better. The last few times I've gone to McDonalds I've only been able to eat half a burger. I drink my slimfast shakes 2 times a say and have a couple snacks. I try to drink 8 glasses of water which isn't easy cause I hate the taste of water.

Tonight instead of eating a whole bag of chips and guacamole...I'm eating ten chips. I'm eating salad and I'm drinking skim milk. I had some bean salsa it had, tomato, black beans, corn, cilantro and onions. I added some lettuce and a couple tables spoons of shredded sharp chedder....mm mm mm. I didn't even make it through all the chips or the salad. But I savored every moment and it was good.

Great to hear about your efforts, Chels. Good for you! If you want, I can send you a list of tips I wrote up for my parents a few years ago. I read a lot about nutrition, and secretly wish I was a dietitian. I love talking about healthy food. :)
