Malachi was circumcised last Wednesday. The surgery went smoothly. It only took 35 minutes. I had warned the nurses that Malachi was really strong and when we were in recovery one of them said he was the strongest kid she's ever had. After he woke up in recovery it took me, my friend Christie that came with me, a male nurse and the head nurse to hold him down to take the IV line out of his hand. He wasn't happy when he woke up. He just screamed.
He's doing a lot better now. The stitches are supposed to dissolve in 7 to 10 days. It's supposed to take 2 to 4 weeks to heal. We're hoping we'll be able to potty train as soon as he's healed.
I had a bad run in with strep last week. I had went to the Dr. and they told me it was allergies even though I was taking Claritin every day. They gave me sudafed and told me to come back in 2 weeks. They didn't even do a throat culture. Well almost exactly a week later I was in the emergency room unable to get any fluids past my very large tonsils and I was blacking out cause I was dehydrated. The ER Dr. only had to take one look and said it was strep. I told him about my primary care giver telling me to come back in 2 weeks and he said it was lucky I came in when I did cause if I waited much longer I could've been dead. Wow! That really scared me. I've been on antibiotics for almost 10 days and I'm doing much better.
